Rock and Roll. Something that is heard often, yet what does it truly mean? The dictionary defines it as a dance music originating in the 50's, a blend of rhythm and blues with country and western. Rock and Roll is something more than that. Rock and Roll is a music, a lifestyle, a driving force. Rock and Roll is the force that pushes the ever-changing Lazarus IV. Rock and Roll pulses through their veins. Lazarus IV is Rock and Roll.
Throughout their three year career, Lazarus IV has played numerous shows in Oklahoma and Kansas, gaining respect and admiration of many loyal fans. They have written and produced three studio albums including the newest release, "Three Fingered Bar Chords." Lazarus IV has been descried by the Norman Transcript as being an "All-American guitar band."
After the unfortunate split in the band last May, Lead Guitarist Jesse Jennings was replaced with Jared Usry. Says Bassist Ben Carter: "Jared is funny as hell." Drummer Nathan Harwell also split from the band to concentrate on a career with his Christian band, Remnant.
What does the future hold for Lazarus IV? For now they just want to play shows in surrounding areas, but they look forward to planning a summer tour.
Lazarus IV's CD release show will be held at Buzz's Subs on August 30th. And the band plans to kick off their summer tour in June 2004. The tour will cover the South and SouthWest United States.

Praise for the band...
--"In a perfect world, Lazarus IV would be where the All American Rejects are now."
--"The sheer will of this band is still a wonder to behold."
--"Their Musical influences are refreshing and they were something else live."
-Patrick Crain (Loud Magazine)
And Doug Hill for Pop Magazine states that Lazarus IV is "A fundamentalist rock group who play[s] lots of swamp and spandex."
