During one of Lazarus IV's live shows you can close your eyes, lean back and imagine yourself
at Woodstock, with the music floating magically into the thick air while the smoke plays along the
walls...
This band has constantly evolved, yet throughout all changes, they have remained driven and determined.
The backbone of Lazarus IV consists of Ryan Hudson and Ben Carter. The music isn't only something they hear, but obviously
something they feel. It's clear that the music has seeped into their veins. Rock and roll is the life force for
this band. Its the glue that hold them together, clearly shown to any and all who attend one of their shows.
Lazarus IV's lead guitarist is Jerod Usry, a 80's style guitar guru with attitude. Although he shows
his metal roots thoughout the show, he clicks perfectly with Lazarus IV's classic rock sound. He is versatile musician; that
much is apparent. During the set, he takes center stage, ripping out a monster solo. The girls scream and the guys stare in
awe. This man has the drive and potential to make it big.
Bassist Ben Carter proves the bass guitar is not a background instrument. Energetic and filled with
a desire to perform great music, he brings on a full audio assault. From performing bass solos, playing in the crowd, jumping
off the drum riser, and bending backwards parallel to the ground, Ben displays his fearless attitude. It is an attitude that
will take Lazarus IV to the heights of success, a precedent for bands to follow.
Singer/guitarist Ryan Hudson takes off his shirt after a few songs. He is oogled by young women for
his looks and looked up to by the young men for his guitar playing abilities. With a voice that says "I am here and I am about
to rock your fucking socks off", he holds a note that pierces the air. His voice, paired with guitar, make him an essential
part of Lazarus IV history. With sneering vocals and the highest guitar playing skill, it is no wonder that the band has such
a large following.
The band holds true to their balls-to-the-wall Rock N' Roll roots. Honoring legend Johnny Cash, they
brilliantly cover a classic tune. Lighters were broken out and fists were raised as they honored a fallen great. Cream's 'Sunshine
of Your Love' is another classic covered track. Incredibly played, it shows that it is truely impossible to be disappointed
by this band. It is pure rock bliss to be a part of Lazarus IV's shows.
Don't think that this band is all about cover songs. At the end of the night, the new album was sold
to tons of admiring fans. 'Three Fingered Bar Chords' is an album sure to put a smile on many faces. Originality has been
a part of this band since the beginning. Each and every original number is a tribute to past and present rock greats. This
band has the talent and drive to take their music and change lives.
Be prepared to hear Lazarus IV at a venue near you. You will not be disappointed.
